Fixed (corner cells)
Scales along 1 axis (edge cells)
Scales along 2 axes (face cells)
Scales along 3 axes (center cell)
Protected (keeps its shape, hatched)
Click on the model where the protected box should go – it is aligned to the surface there. Drag to orbit the view. Esc cancels.
Click on the model where the protected cylinder should go – its axis follows the surface normal (e.g. click into a hole). Drag to orbit the view. Esc cancels.
Pick Pattern: click on the model to set the start of the slice. The point snaps to the nearest vertex. Esc cancels.
Pick Pattern: click the end point of the slice. Esc cancels.
Drag the purple cubes to resize the feature, its white center to move it. Click the gizmo center (white sphere) or press Esc to get back to the gizmo; Del removes the feature.
Drag the colored cubes to move faces, the white sphere to move the gizmo, and the rings to rotate it. Rotation order XYZ.
Switch to "Scale" when done.
Switch to "Scale" when done.
The slices split the line into sections: the first one is fixed, then scalable and fixed alternate (yellow = scalable, red = fixed). Scaling acts only along the line. Drag an end cube along the line to add a slice there, or click it to add one next to it. Drag a slice past an end and release to remove it. The line always runs through the center of the bounding box; the rings tilt it.
Choose a scaling type in the panel. Each tile shows what the tool does – move the mouse over it to see it again.
Measure: click the first reference point on the model. Close to a corner the point snaps to it. Drag to orbit the view. Esc cancels.
Measure: click the second reference point. The distance is taken along the gizmo axis with the largest delta (Line: along the line); its end is shown where the delta line ends.
Set up the box like a cube: its content is scaled (green), the outside stays (red). The small spheres at the end of the lines set the falloff zone on each side (gradient), in which the scaling fades out. Alt+drag a falloff sphere sets both sides of the axis.
Drag the two markers along the line to choose the slice that will be repeated (yellow). The line always runs through the center of the bounding box; the rings tilt it, "Orientation" switches its direction.
The circle defines a cylinder along its axis: everything inside stays unchanged, everything outside is scaled radially. Drag the cubes on the circle to change the diameter, the white sphere to move it, and the rings to tilt it.
Click a purple center to edit that protected feature.
Drag the cubes on the bounding box to resize. Only the zone inside the slice gizmo stretches; everything outside is moved rigidly. Gizmo center stays fixed.
Only the scalable sections of the line stretch; fixed sections keep their size and are moved along. The first section stays in place. Drag the cube at the end of the object to resize.
The slice between the two markers is cut out of the model and repeated along the line; everything behind it moves along. Drag the cube at the end of the object to add or remove repeats. With "Mirror pattern" every second copy is mirrored, so all joints match.
The content of the box is scaled about its center; across the falloff zone the movement fades out, everything beyond stays unchanged. With "Detach" the content is cut out, closed and scaled as a separate body. Drag the cubes on the blue box to resize symmetrically, Alt+drag to move only that face; drag the white sphere to move the scaled content.
Drag the cubes on the outer circle to set the outer diameter. The inside of the circle stays unchanged; only the part outside grows or shrinks radially.
Left drag: orbit / drag handles · Right drag or Shift+left: pan · Wheel: zoom · F: frame · P: perspective/parallel · Alt+drag face: symmetric · Shift+drag ring: 15° steps
