JobOx
JobOx was established as a cooperation project between two independent parties, Urbanmaker UG and the sole proprietor Andre Bar (future founder of Novibar GmbH and the brand SwapSystems). The goal was the development of a passive automation for 3D printers. The core vision and idea of leveraging the own movements of the printer was introduced by Juri Boos, CEO of Urbanmaker UG, while Andre Bar brought his technical expertise and took over the main part of hardware and software development. In 2022, JobOx released its first product, JobOx MK3 (later MK3/4), as a crowdfunded project on Kickstarter. As both parties agreed to share and utilise the outcome of the project, further product developments were pursued independently. JobOx (now owned entirely by Urbanmaker UG) and SwapSystems (established by former sole proprietor Andre Bar) still closely cooperate (e.g. JobOx A1).
3DJake
As an online specialist retailer, 3DJake offers a wide range of 3D printing products and accessories. It is a well-established and well-known brand, especially in Europe, the largest reseller of SwapMod kits to date, and simply a very nice team that we are happy to work with.
ChituSystems
In November 2025, ChituSystems released an automation system called PlateCycler A1C. This clone was undoubtedly inspired by the SwapMod A1M Kit, but in the same time it was also optimised for classic serial production as an injection-moulded product. Although SwapMod A1M Kit was used as a blueprint for the development of PlateCycler, SwapSystems was not directly involved. Following the agreement signed postfactum by SwapSystems and ChituSystems in February 2026, the two companies have entered into a collaborative partnership that is of mutual benefit to both parties. Consequently, ChituSystems is now officially authorised to distribute their product, PlateCycler, as โinspired and authorised by SwapModโ.
